ABOUT GD

We help our clients build pioneering collaborations to unlock new market opportunities for products that accelerate social change.

GD is a new kind of enterprise – combining strategy, business development and network building. We accelerate collaborative ventures between leaders in businesses, governments, investors and non-profits. Our work develops sustainable business models, de-risks investments and creates shared value that scales up globally. Based in Geneva, Switzerland, GD was founded by Barbara Bulc in response to a growing need for a new systems approach, and to speed up collaborations for social and economic impact. We are a group of top-level professionals, who are always original and care deeply about people.

THE CAUSE

Over 85% of the world’s population still lack access to affordable quality healthcare, nutrition, water, energy and education. A new collaboration economy is on the way to address these challenges.

In a world that is increasingly complex, the societal and environmental challenges we face seem daunting. We have halved extreme poverty over the past decade. Nonetheless, over 5 billion people still live off $10 or less a day, and another 1.5 billion with under $20. How can we accelerate access to affordable quality products and services? And how can we meet the burgeoning demand of this largely untapped trillion dollar economy?

While we have the technical and financial capabilities to solve these challenges, no single organization is equipped to do it alone. New ways of thinking and acting to bridge broken system and harness our full capabilities are needed. Government and business sectors are now joining forces with communities. These new partnerships are unlocking seemingly intractable global problems and building a more inclusive global economy – but this is not happening fast enough.
